Bearings

Bearings for industrial use

At Friulana Cuscinetti you will find a wide range of bearings of various types, such as rolling, ball and tapered roller bearings.

Rolling bearings

Rolling bearings consist of an inner ring, an outer ring, a cage and rolling elements, which can be balls or rollers. The inner ring turns with the shaft, while the outer ring stays fixed in the housing that holds it. The rolling elements can be balls, tapered rollers or needle rollers
and are generally made of special high-purity, high-strength steel. The rolling elements move on the raceways of the rings or washers and are separated and guided by the cage. The cage keeps the rolling
elements apart and guides them.

Ball bearings

There are various types of ball bearings: the simplest have a single row of balls, suited to high speeds and to considerable axial and radial loads and some misalignment; they are available in open and sealed versions.
Double-row ball bearings can take higher radial loads but take up more axial space.

Tapered roller bearings

These bearings can take equally high radial and axial loads.
They can be used in a wide range of applications and absorb forces optimally, guiding the shaft precisely and rigidly. Their distinctive quality is easy installation, as they are adjustable and separable.

Needle roller bearings

They are also called needle bearings because of the shape of the rollers.
They are used in industry, the automotive sector and household appliances.
They are notably compact, especially between the inner and outer diameters.
