Description
Single-row tapered roller bearings, series 32300 (FAG). It is the wide, heavy series of tapered roller bearings, the sturdiest of the family, for hubs, gearboxes and machines under heavy loads. This page lists 8 codes, with bores from 17 to 50 mm: choose the code from the menu above.
- TypeSingle-row tapered roller bearings
- Series32300
- Bore dfrom 17 to 50 mm
- Outer diameter Dfrom 47 to 110 mm
- Codes8
- BrandFAG
Features
- Tapered rollers: they take high radial loads and axial loads in one direction together
- Separable: cone (inner ring with rollers and cage) and cup (outer ring) are mounted separately
- They are used in opposed pairs, adjusting clearance or preload during mounting
- High shaft rigidity
Typical applications
Operating conditions
| Loads | High radial + axial in one direction (in pairs: in both) |
|---|---|
| Speed | Medium |
| Misalignment | Not tolerated |
| Mounting | In pairs, with clearance or preload adjustment |
| Lubrication | Grease or oil |
| Temperature | Usually up to about +120 °C |
Advantages
- High combined load capacity
- High rigidity
- Separable: easier mounting and inspection
Limitations
- Clearance must be adjusted during mounting
- A single bearing takes thrust in one direction only
- Lower speeds than ball bearings
Available codes
The d × D × B dimensions (bore, outer diameter, width) of each code appear in the "Sizes" menu; variants with a suffix (2RS, ZZ, C3…) are listed in the series menu.
Technician's tipAlways replace cone and cup together, and set the axial clearance as specified by the machine manufacturer: too tight runs hot, too loose knocks.
Temperatures and speeds are general guidelines for standard steel bearings: for special conditions ask us for the manufacturer's data.
