Description
Single-row deep groove ball bearings, series 6000 (FAG · ECO line). It is the reduced-section series which, for the same bore, has a smaller outer diameter and width than the 6200, useful where space is tight and loads are moderate. This page lists 88 codes, with bores from 10 to 50 mm: choose the code from the menu above.
- TypeSingle-row deep groove ball bearings
- Series6000
- Bore dfrom 10 to 50 mm
- Outer diameter Dfrom 26 to 80 mm
- Codes88
- BrandFAG · ECO line
Features
- They take radial loads and moderate axial loads in both directions
- Low friction and high speeds, quiet running
- ISO standard dimensions: interchangeable between brands
- Open, shielded (ZZ/2Z) or rubber-sealed (2RS) versions lubricated for life
Typical applications
Operating conditions
| Loads | Radial; moderate axial in both directions |
|---|---|
| Speed | High (open versions are the fastest) |
| Misalignment | Poorly tolerated: shaft and housing must be aligned |
| Lubrication | Grease (for life in ZZ and 2RS versions) or oil |
| Temperature | Usually up to about +120 °C; with rubber seals the limit is set by the seal (about +100 °C) |
Advantages
- The most versatile and easiest bearing to find
- Suitable for high speeds
- Low maintenance in shielded or sealed versions
- Low cost
Limitations
- Only moderate axial loads
- Does not compensate for misalignment between shaft and housing
- For very heavy radial loads or shocks, a roller bearing is better
How to read the code
| 2RS | rubber seals on both sides: protection against dust and splashes, lubricated for life |
|---|---|
| ZZ / 2Z | metal shields on both sides: protection against dust, minimal friction, lubricated for life |
| C3 | increased internal radial clearance: for tight fits or high temperatures (typical of electric motors) |
| FAG | Schaeffler FAG brand |
| ECO | economy line alternative to FAG, for less demanding uses |
Available codes
The d × D × B dimensions (bore, outer diameter, width) of each code appear in the "Sizes" menu; variants with a suffix (2RS, ZZ, C3…) are listed in the series menu.
Technician's tipTo replace a bearing, all you need is the code engraved on the outer ring: the first digits indicate type and series, the last two the bore (from 04 upwards, multiplied by 5: 6205 = 25 mm bore). If the old one was 2RS or ZZ, take the same protection.
Temperatures and speeds are general guidelines for standard steel bearings: for special conditions ask us for the manufacturer's data.
